In my Motherland, the Philippines, these baths were practiced as early as the 15th century, often guided by babaylans (indigenous healers and shamans). When Spanish colonizers arrived, they deemed these sacred practices “evil” and worked to suppress them. But like the babaylan spirit, the ritual endured.

Today, spiritual baths continue to thrive throughout Southeast Asia, Africa, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. They are rituals of healing, manifestation, and protection — a way to tend to the spirit using the medicine of plants, prayer, and intention.

These baths are crafted with a powerful blend of herbs, flowers, roots, spices, crystals, and sacred liquids. Depending on the purpose, they may include ingredients such as milk, alcohol, or coconut water. Some are designed to draw in abundance or fertility, while others help clear grief, illness, or lingering emotional pain. Rituals and incantations often accompany the bath, creating a deeper shift on both energetic and spiritual levels.

We offer both standard house bath blends and custom baths, created specifically for you following a personal consultation. Most blends are designed for 3 days of use, but some rituals call for 7, 21, or 40 days depending on the depth of the work.
